Bringing a bold Hawai‘i-born concept to LA, Holey Grail Donuts opened its first mainland location in a renovated storefront on Larchmont Boulevard. The renovation centered on adapting the narrow, historic retail space into a vibrant, functional donut shop—complete with a full commercial kitchen and a customer-forward layout. Behind the scenes, structural upgrades were required to support new mechanical loads, reinforced openings, and finishes—all tucked within the constraints of an older building shell.

From floor to ceiling, every structural move was about striking the right balance: integrating new kitchen infrastructure and modern code compliance, while preserving the character and proportions of the existing building. The result is a clean, welcoming storefront that supports the brand’s elevated take on donuts—serving taro-based treats with substance, style, and a structurally sound foundation.
