This unique climbing facility reimagines a former post office site with a blend of adaptive reuse and new construction. The existing building was structurally modified to raise the roof to 30 feet, providing the clear height needed for bouldering walls while maintaining the original footprint. Adjacent to it, a new 40-foot-tall prefabricated steel structure was added, recessed below grade and enclosed by concrete retaining walls to stay within city height limits—all while delivering the volume and durability required for full-height rope climbing.
