This project navigated a constrained site through a hybrid structural design. We utilized a two-way reinforced concrete flat plate on the first floor to minimize structural thickness, then shifted to structural steel for the upper-floor showroom to allow for open spans and a seamless curtain wall. To tie it all together, SureBoard® shear walls were integrated on the upper level to meet strict fire-rating requirements at the adjacent building interface.
